London - August 2019
People-centric data security provider Egress has been announced as a finalist in three categories at the prestigious UK IT Industry Awards: 'Security Innovation of the Year', 'Best Public Sector IT Project' alongside the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) and 'Best Not for Profit IT Project' alongside London Grid for Learning (LGfL).
The UK IT Industry Awards is the benchmark for outstanding performance throughout the UK computing industry, focusing on the contribution of individuals, projects, organisations and technologies that have excelled in the use, development and deployment of IT in the past 12 months. In particular, 'Security Innovation of the Year' recognises product development that has delivered measurable benefits in areas such as IT security and data protection, while the Public Sector and Not for Profit project categories celebrate outstanding use of IT to benefit organisations.
By being shortlisted across these three categories, Egress has been recognised for its ability to both develop technology that answers organisations' needs and successfully deliver this to improve processes and data protection for its customers. Egress' work with the CPS has streamlined and secured evidence transfer for criminal proceedings, while work with LGfL has automated secure communication and reduced data breaches for schools in the UK.
The awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday 13th November 2019 in London.
