London, UK – 15th December 2021 – Egress and cybersecurity specialist Spear Shield announced their partnership to help UK organisations tackle their most complex cybersecurity challenge: human-activated risk.
Organisations are currently exposed to unprecedented levels of cyber and data security risk, with new incidents hitting the headlines daily. The most common attack vector remains email, with over 90% of ransomware delivered via this channel. Equally, recent data from the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) shows that human error and specifically misdirected emails pose as big a risk as phishing attacks.
Spear Shield will offer the full Egress Intelligent Email Security suite, which comprises three products: Defend, Prevent and Protect. These can be used individually or as a single solution, providing a comprehensive approach to tackle the issue of human-activated risk.
Commenting on the announcement, Daniel Hoy, Director of Strategic Partnerships at Egress, explained: “We are delighted to formally partner with Spear Shield as a demonstration of Egress’ ongoing commitment to helping organisations reduce human-activated risk. Spear Shield’s proven experience as cybersecurity specialists compliments our offering perfectly, and we look forward to driving success with their team.”
Commenting on the partnership, Max Harper, Director at Spear Shield, said: “At Spear Shield, our reputation is founded on the trust we build with our customers and the expertise we can offer them to help solve their cybersecurity challenges. By partnering with Egress, we can provide our customers with comprehensive email security, built on the latest in intelligent machine learning technology, designed to protect against advanced security risks. We know the team at Egress well and we’re excited to see the partnership accelerate the growth of both organisations.”
